I just realized that I haven't shared the interior side of our front door since I painted it in this pretty blue color called, Wythe Blue by Benjamin Moore. If you missed it, you can see the exterior side of the door in THIS POST.
I was inspired to photograph our entryway after adding a sweet little branch to it. The branch is from a Catalpa tree in our backyard. Isn't this a pretty tree?
I just cut a small little branch off of the tree and hung it on a hook on our entryway wall.
The Catalpa tree gets lots of white ruffle flower blooms on it this time every year.
The blooms are so pretty but they don't last long before they start falling off the tree, and so I thought it would be nice to bring a little branch indoors to enjoy.
I have also hung up some of my grandma's very worn straw hats. My grandma was an amazing gardener and you wouldn't ever find her out in the garden without a straw hat on.
I have decorated our home with my grandmas straw hats for years now and they still make me smile every time I see them.
Also in our entryway is an old Coast Guard trunk that I picked up at a yard sale for ten dollars. On top of the trunk I have two snake plants in rust colored pots. And above the wood coat rack is a sign that reads, Multnomah Falls, which is one of my most favorite places in the world. I found the sign years ago at a Fred Meyers store.
The wood rack was a piece of wood that I also found at a yard sale. It already had the metal plates on it, but then I added the little hooks to it. This wood rack was previously hanging above the stove in our kitchen, but I thought I'd hang it up here in our entryway for a change.
I just thought that the whole look looked very sweet and so I wanted to share it with you today.
I hope that you found inspiration in today's post in one way or another.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY,
