Friends Day Out

                                                                         Happy Monday,

                                                            I hope you had a great weekend. We have
                                                            been enjoying some down time here......
                                                            beach days or touring around the Island.
                                                            A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to
                                                            a friends summer cottage for the day.
                                                            It was an annual quilters/needlework
                                                            potluck lunch day.
                                                             I loved seeing this group of friends
                                                            gathered round the living room with
                                                            great views of the beach through the
                                                            windows.
                                                           

  

                                                                   So relaxing to be able to sit and
                                                                   enjoy your favorite hobby.
                                                                   Isn't the quilt beautiful? It would
                                                                   take me a lifetime and then some
                                                                   to do all the tiny stitches in this!

                                                                        Since it was my first time to
                                                                        visit this beautiful cottage,
                                                                        I had a little tour and was allowed
                                                                        to take photos (my hobby) to share.
                                                                        The curtains and bed skirt were made
                                                                         by Margaret the owner of this charming
                                                                         cottage.

                                                                I fell in love with this beautiful
                                                                crochet lace dress.

                                                                    Margaret has a very beautiful collection
                                                                    of china all beautifully displayed.

                                                                         I knew I was going to love this
                                                                         cottage when these beautiful dishes
                                                                         were there to greet us on the porch!

          Margaret goes to local auctions and

            gets some amazing treasures like this

            side board that she painted white and

              had glass installed in the bottom doors

to display more china.

                                                                    Everywhere I looked there was something
                                                                    to enjoy!

                                                                 Not only are these ladies great
                                                                 quilters but they are great cooks too!

                                                 I went out to enjoy the sunshine and
                                                            the amazing view for awhile. Did you
                                                            notice the Confederation Bridge in the
                                                            photo above ~ it links our little Island
                                                            to New Brunswick.

                                                            Well, it was a day to remember for
                                                            sure......just my cup of tea!
